New York Times Magazine Article

I wanted to bring your attention to a very well-written article in New York  Times Magazine: “Why Are There Still So Few Women in Science?” by Eileen Pollack. There is a nice mention of my books on page 8. Yes, page 8 – this is a 10 page article, an actual, in-depth analysis of a topic often left to token mentions in empassioned but shallow pieces crafted to make us feel little other than indignance about messages on t-shirts. 😉 Enjoy!

P.S. Here’s part of my mention:

“Danica McKellar (who starred as Winnie Cooper on “The Wonder Years” before earning her bachelor’s degree in math at U.C.L.A.), along with her follow-up books, “Kiss My Math,” “Hot X: Algebra Exposed” and “Girls Get Curves: Geometry Takes Shape,” may well have done more to encourage girls to stick with math than any government task force.”
